Elio Desira Senior Surveyor & Consultant of Oceanus Marine Ltd., has been awarded the “The Maritime Lifetime Achievement Award” and “The Maritime Personality of the Year” in the Malta International Boats and Yachting Awards 2018 organised by MBR Publications Malta.

 

Elio Desira, the founder of Oceanus Marine Ltd., Malta had started his career as a trainee Marine Engineer in the Yachting Industry at the age of 16 years then continued his training in the Merchant Navy. Having served as a Chief Engineer on many vessels of different types, he then continued his career for many years as a Fleet Superintendent of 6 Oil & Chemical tankers. In 2010 he set up Oceanus Marine Ltd. 

Today Oceanus Marine Ltd., Malta is a leading Surveyors, Inspectors, Consultants & Project Managers Company serving the Maritime Industry in general.
